Use the Internet to search for an example of an enthymeme in the media (e.g., Internet, television, radio, newspapers, etc.).
- You may find an op-ed, political piece, advertising, et cetera.
- Identify the implied premise in the enthymeme.
- Why did you choose this example?
The enthymeme that I have found and decided to use for this assignment is a funny subway commercial. There is not much dialogue but the visual is quite humorous. I chose this example because I recently saw this ad on my Instagram feed. The video had many views and funny comments. What I did not know was that it considered an enthymeme.
The implied premise:
Even Ronald Mcdonald get tired of eating burgers, so he orders subway.

The example i choose is when rapper Kanye West stated that, ” 400 years of slavery was a choice”. This statement is definitely defined as enthymeme. This was Kanye’s personal opinion and very non- factual.
