1.Research your chosen author(s) and write a brief biography of his or her background including professional achievements, awards and contributions. You must also include two famous quotations from your chosen author(s).

2.Discuss the theme of both selections. (Do not retell the story and do not summarize the plot.)

3.Discuss the major character(s) in each work and how the author developed them to be a three-dimensional (round) character or a static (flat) character.

4.Based on library research, discuss the historical era in which the works were written. Does each story reflect the period in which it was written? Explain fully
