The concept of family health is important because people spend most of their time with their families. People learn their habits from family. Family is where your foundation begins with but not limited to foods, culture, religion, and traditions. The nurse will need to know and understand the family to have a personalized plan for health promotion. We will want to know the influence the family has over an individual and what risk factors and what intellectual level the family and patient is on. To better understand how to come up with a good and beneficial teaching plan. If the nurse can get the whole families involved in the teaching and health plan and get their opinions and insights that will really help it to be a beneficial lifestyle change. A benefit that can help the whole family with health promotion and a lifestyle change. Once the nurse has the patient and key members of the family involved, that is the key to success.
