Description Management strategy
Lack of enough time: Most of the school curriculum is often wide and may require a longer time than the allocated teaching duration.
Students Attitude: A proportion of students develop negative attitudes towards selected topics. For instance, wound management is not a particularly interesting topic for many students (Hanna & Marzanna, 2014).
Inadequate Teaching Strategies: In a classroom setting there are different student types requiring expansive teaching strategies to handle properly. Therefore, developing a single working strategy for all would not only be impossible but also irrelevant.
Poor classroom attendance by the learners: Inconsistency in learning is often caused by learners skipping classes. As such, the overall development of the learners in the teaching concepts would be unsatisfactory. Therefore, more time would be wasted trying to develop coherency in teach (Hanna & Marzanna, 2014). 1. Identification of the major areas for focus within the time allocated. The easier areas can be given as assignments.
2. Giving a good introductory remark about the need to change attitudes and calling a resource person for a motivation talk.
3. Develop inclusive teaching strategies upon identification of the learner needs.
4. The learners? given tasks to undertake in each class session to make the attendance a responsibility among them (Dart, 2006).

The physical reactions of the learners as a factor of attitude are easy to gauge. Further, the instructor can provide responses and ask questions to gauge the level of understanding of the learners.
? Discussions
The students are allowed to engage in finding solutions to problems in groups. The groups are focused and work under one leader. They report their findings to the class ensuring all members of the groups participate equally and actively. It enables the understanding of the students and internalization of the concepts. It is one form of peer review learning.
? Application Strategy
The learners get the chance to engage in hands-on experience at the clinical settings. They get to interact with the patients applying the theories learnt in classroom under the guidance of the teacher or the resident clinicians at the respective facility.
Assessment of Learning
These entail both summative and formative assessment techniques. Summative assessments are the terminal evaluations done at the end of the learning period. They include PowerPoint presentations and exams. On the other hand, formative assessments are continuous tests for understanding and effectiveness of the teaching methods utilized for the learners. It assess on the cognitive abilities of the learners (Griffin & Care, 2015).

What guidelines will you develop for supervisors to successfully respond to employee questions about unionization?
/in Uncategorized /by JosephYou are the Human Resources manager for large distribution site. Your recent employee opinion survey indicated that overall, employees felt that this was a good place to work. However, recent downturns in the economy have resulted in the loss of large contracts, which provided a significant portion of the companys revenue. One of the impacts from this loss in revenue is that the company will be unable to provide annual COLA or merit increases for the first time in more than 15 years. You have heard rumors from employees close to you that there is talk about efforts to unionize. What guidelines will you develop for supervisors to successfully respond to employee questions about unionization? What can your supervisors say or do that is legally permissible in this situation?

escribe the factors that might have influenced the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic processes of the patient
/in Uncategorized /by JosephAPA format 2 pages long with 3 references 1 from Walden University Library and chapter 2 from Arcangelo, V. P., Peterson, A. M., Wilbur, V. & Reinhold, J. A. (Eds.). (2017). Pharmacotherapeutics for advanced practice: A practical approach (4th ed.). Ambler, PA: Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.
iscussion: Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics
As an advanced practice nurse assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders, it is important to not only understand the impact of disorders on the body, but also the impact of drug treatments on the body. The relationships between drugs and the body can be described by pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Pharmacokinetics describes what the body does to the drug through absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion, whereas pharmacodynamics describes what the drug does to the body. When selecting drugs and determining dosages for patients, it is essential to consider individual patient factors that might impact the patient’s pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic processes. These patient factors include genetics, gender, ethnicity, age, behavior (i.e., diet, nutrition, smoking, alcohol, and illicit drug abuse), and/or pathophysiological changes due to disease. In this Discussion, you reflect on a case from your past clinical experiences and consider how a particular patient’s pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic processes altered his or her response to a drug.
To prepare:
Review Chapter 2 of the Arcangelo text and the Scott article in the Learning Resources. Consider the principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
Reflect on your experiences, observations, and/or clinical practices from the last 5 years. Select a case from that time period that involves a patient whose individual differences in pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic factors altered his or her anticipated response to a drug. When referring to your patient, make sure to use a pseudonym or other false form of identification. This is to ensure the privacy and protection of the patient.
Consider factors that might have influenced the patient’s pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic processes, such as genetics (including pharmacogenetics), gender, ethnicity, age, behavior, and/or possible pathophysiological changes due to disease.
Think about a personalized plan of care based on these influencing factors and patient history in your case study.
By Day 3
Post a description of the case you selected. Then, describe the factors that might have influenced the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic processes of the patient from the case you selected. Finally, explain details of the personalized plan of care that you would develop based on influencing factors and patient history in your case.
By Day 6
Respond to at least two of your colleagues on two different days by suggesting additional patient factors that might have influenced the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic processes of the patients in their case studies. In addition, suggest how the personal care plan might change if the age of the patient were different and if the patient had a comorbid condition, such as renal failure, heart failure, or liver failure.

How would you rate yourself on each of the Big Five personality traits based on only the description of the trait? Would your friends agree with your self-ratings?
/in Uncategorized /by JosephHow would you rate yourself on each of the Big Five personality traits based on only the description of the trait? Would your friends agree with your self-ratings?
Part 1
One area of controversy is how well you can accurately assess the personalities of employees or potential employees. One popular way is through various questionnaires.
For your first post, give the following information:. 1.How would you rate yourself on each of the Big Five personality traits based on only the description of the trait? Would your friends agree with your self-ratings? 2.After your own self-ratings, do a word search in Google or other search engines on “”big five personality test” and find an online personality test that will tell you how rate on the Big Five dimensions. Take the test, and compare your results with your initial self-ratings. How do you feel about the personality test you took?. Was it accurate, or not very helpful? Also, provide the link to the test you found in case any of your classmates want to use it.
For your second or third post, compare your results with those of your classmates, and try to find a classmate with opposite traits as you as well as one with very similar traits. ( I will do the do the part of finding the classmate with opposite traits when I submit)
Part 2
Individual Differences in the Workplace
Assignment Overview
Strong cognitive abilities are usually considered a very important and positive trait to seek when hiring new employees. However, one police department decided not to higher those who scored too high on a cognitive skills exam on the grounds that people who are too intelligent will not be satisfied with their job as a police officer and will end up quitting (Naish, 2013). This of course is a controversial policy that resulted in at least one lawsuit.
For this assignment we will be looking at individual characteristics that may predict job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and job performance for police officers. Being a police officer is a demanding job that required strong physical capacity, sharp mental capacity to deal with difficult and life threatening situations, and strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively work with the communities they protect and serve. The issue of what traits to look for in police officer recruiting is a controversial one.
Review the background materials on individual traits, personality, and attitudes such as job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Then read these articles on law enforcement recruitment with the issues in the background materials in mind:
Naish, R. (April, 2013). Too clever by half. E.Learning Age, 8. [Proquest]
Means, R., Lowry, K., & Conroy, D. (2011). Hiring: Background investigation, part 3. Law & Order, 59(3), 12-13. [Proquest]
Reaume, S. (2009). Improved hiring for child protective investigators. Law & Order, 57(2), 19-20,22,24. [Proquest]
Case Assignment
Now suppose a police department has hired you as a consultant to come up with an exam to assess personality and other traits of applicants to the department. The department is looking to hire applicants who meet the following criteria: 1.Are likely to have strong job satisfaction and organizational commitment to the police department after they are hired. 2.Will be able to work effectively under stressful and sometimes life threatening situations, can make good decisions under pressure. 3.Will be able to present a positive image of the police department in the communities they serve and maintain strong relations with community leaders.
Using what you’ve learned in the background about personality traits such as the Big Five Personality traits and factors that influence job satisfaction and organizational behavior, come up with a four to five page paper addressing the following issues: 1.Do you think cognitive abilities should be part of the exam? Do you agree with the police department mentioned in Naish (2013) that there should be an upper limit to cognitive abilities, or should the department try to hire those with the highest cognitive abilities? Consider the concepts of ability testing in Chapter 3 of Nair (2010) as part of your answer. 2.What personality traits do you think will best predict a police officer’s ability to handle stressful situations in the field and make decisions under stress? Consider the Big Five traits as well as any other personality traits that you read about in Chapter 6 of Nair (2010). Be specific about what traits the department should consider and why these traits will be associated with an ability to work under stress. 3.What personality traits will best predict an ability to work cooperatively with their coworkers as well as with members of the community they serve? Again, be specific about which traits the department should consider and why these traits will be associated with a good ability to work with others. Use Chapter 6 of Nair (2010) as your source of information about Big Five and other personality traits to consider.
Assignment Expectations •Answer the assignment questions directly •Stay focused on the precise assignment questions, don’t go off on tangents or devote a lot of space to summarizing general background materials •Make sure to use reliable and credible sources as your references. Articles published in established newspapers or business journals/magazines are preferred. If you find articles on the internet, make sure it is from a credible source. •Reference your sources of information with both a bibliography and in-text citations. See the Student Guide to Writing a High-Quality Academic Paper, including pages 13-14 on in-text citations. Another resource is the “Writing Style Guide”, which is found under “My Resources” in the TLC portal.

Discuss a remote-control device as an interface for the user who wants to watch TV Is the interface adequate if the user wants to connect the appliance to other devices
/in Uncategorized /by Joseph1. Discuss a remote-control device as an interface for the user who wants to watch TV Is the interface adequate if the user wants to connect the appliance to other devices (e.g., a stereo system, VCR, or video camera) through its input and output channels? 2. Consider changing the interface of the module of Example 4.1 to have a separate call for asking whether a variable exists (and thus can be read or written safely). Discuss this change in terms of the quality of the modular structure, the efficiency of the system, etc. Example 4.1 • Suppose we are designing an interpreter for a very simple programming language, MINI, operating on integers and integer arrays We provide a symbol-table module that is used to store information about the variables of a program. The symbol table exports a procedure GET that accepts as input the symbolic name of a variable and, possibly, the value of an index (in the case of an array) and returns. the value of the variable. Similarly, a procedure PUT makes it possible to store a new value for a given • variable. When a new variable declaration is encountered, a new entry” is created in the symbol table by calling a procedure CREATE, passing it the name of the variable and its size (the number of integer entries it represents). The purpose of the interface we are designing is to hide the physical structure of the table from the clients of the symbol-table module. To warn clients when they either try to read or write the value of a variable that does not exist or try to access an array with an invalid index value, the procedures GET and PUT return an additional parameter, POS. The value returned for Pos is a pointer to the variable stored in the table if such variable exists, or it is the null pointer if the variable does not exist. This design can be criticized because of the in the interface. If our pur-pose is just to provide operations to store and retrieve data (and signal the case where access to the data is incorrect), then we are providing additional information (i.e., the position in the table where the data are stored).
