Assignment Instructions: 
Develop a two- to three-page paper that addresses the following:

• Is Apple’s brand in jeopardy following the death of Steve Jobs?
• “There is no place for Apple to go but down.” Synthesize the generic strategies and segmentation strategies that Apple can implement to prevent going down.
• What do you expect from Apple in the future ? Will Apple experience a continuation of its current trajectory or will Apple’s good fortune change?

Paper must be in the correct APA writing style. Include a minimum of 2-3 resources; 1 resource must be peer reviewed.

For this assignment, you are asked to develop a plan to gather data for a job analysis, use at least two of the methods to gather data, write a short job description and job specification  based on the data you have gathered. Please do not use your own position and do not use a job description already written. If you do not work outside the home, you have other opportunities for positions to analyze. If you do not have a position in a typical office, retail establishment or production facility you can use, seek out a position from elsewhere. The opportunities could include a server at a restaurant, a service provider in your home, your hair stylist, a sales assistant, the receptionist at your doctor’s office or perhaps your child’s au pair, tutor, teacher or nanny.

First review the material presented in the course about how to conduct a job analysis, the various methods for collecting data and the pros and cons of the various methods.

After you have selected your methods for collecting the data, select the position (a job) to analyze and use at least two of the methods for collecting data, collect the data using the methods selected and summarize your findings in a short job description and job specification. .

 In the power point presentation, share the following:

1.  Provide an academic definition of job analysis and a short description of how it is used in organizations. Provide an in text citation for the definition. 

2.  The position you selected to analyze.

3. The methods you selected for gathering data, an academic definition of each, an in text citation and the pros and cons of each data collection method you selected.

4. The rationale for why you selected the methods you did (tell why you selected the methods you did).

5.  A description of your experience in collecting the data (how did it go? – was is easy, hard, stressful? for example).

6.  A short sample position description and job specification you were able to design based on the data you gathered. Include an academic definition of position. description and specification along with the in text citation for each.

7.  Suggestions for data gathering if you were to complete this assignment again and desire to make it even more accurate.

Please try to present your data in no more than 10 slides including your title slide and reference page (recall that if you have in text citations you must also have a reference page and it is to be in APA format including displayed in alphabetical order). Keep all the relevant content in the slide content area and use the notes area on the slide for other supplemental information

Overview: The final project for this course is the creation of a quantitative analysis that includes an Excel spreadsheet accompanied by a memo to management.

Accountants provide management with the logistics of the business that are crucial for daily operations and a company’s overall success. In any business, it is of

the utmost importance to be aware of all finances and internal processes. Cost accountants focus solely on the internal processes of a business and are tasked

with eliminating any unnecessary costs in order to maximize profits.

For the final project, you have been tasked with conducting a quantitative analysis that looks into the internal processes of a company. Based on your analysis,

you will formulate recommendations to management that aim to improve internal processes and increase profits for the company.

Prompt: For this milestone, submit a draft of the cost-volume-profit analysis (Section I of the final project), including all of the critical elements listed below. Refer

to the Hampshire Company Case Study document, as this provides details on how to complete this milestone. All calculations for your quantitative analysis

should be completed in the Hampshire Company Spreadsheet. You will provide a rough draft of your qualitative analysis in a Word document. Once you have

completed your analysis, submit your Word and Excel documents.

Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:

I. Cost-Volume-Profit Analysis

Cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis is a useful tool for informing short-term economic planning within an organization. In this section, a CVP analysis will be

conducted and used to inform business decisions and recommendations.

A. Perform a CVP analysis based on cost classifications.

B. Explain how a CVP analysis can assist management with short-term economic planning. Support your response with examples from your CVP

analysis.

C. Accurately compute the break-even quantity and break-even revenue.

D. Determine whether the company is breaking even. What are the CVP analysis implications on planning?

Consider the following scenario:

You have held conversations with Precision Part’s leaders and obtained the following information, which you want to use in the development of a 4-year strategic management plan.

• PPQ Parts employees now number 5,000, and all are currently employed in the United States. It plans to grow to 10,000 employees in 4 years.
• New facilities will be needed in international expansion, and PPQ Parts anticipates building most of those (80%) outside the United States. 
  PPQ Parts holds 5% of the world market share on small SUVs, but its goal is 9% in 4 years.
• Current stock price is $10 per share. The goal is $22 a share.
  Profit margin 3-year average is 6%. Industry average during this time has also been 6%. The company goal is 13% in 4 years.
• PPQ Parts has averaged 28% employee turnover during the last 3 years. This is compared to an industry average of 25%. The goal of the company is to increase employee retention by lowering annual turnover to 17%.
• PPQ Parts contributes to all the local communities in which it is doing business. This is one of its corporate values. Current charity is 0.5% of total profits, but the company would like to raise that to 5% in 4 years.

Assignment

A strategic management plan is vital for the company business today. Review the company scenario at the beginning of the course for additional information regarding growth goals. Create a basic strategic management plan for PPQ Parts including quantifiable goals and measures. Include the following in your report:

• Provide environmental scanning of current conditions in the area of expansion including economy, competition, political stability, and so forth.
• Address internal resource analysis such as managerial and financial strengths and weaknesses.
• Please include short-term and long-term strategic goals.
• Location consideration for implementation is vital. Please explain the benefits and limitations for expansion in your chosen area.
